I'm on the (Wrecking)Ball with this Animation

Posted by ElectroJoe - March 16th, 2014

Now that I've gotten some significant progress done this week, I can finally say I'm 90% done with the animation portion of the Sonic/Eggman Wreckingball song parody. I had a difficult time during Febuary finding the time because I had some trouble with my computer and I could only animate on the weekends due to college work. I finally had some time off this week and got a significant amount done. I'm hoping to finish the rest of the animation this week and then color the frames, make the backgrounds, and edit some audio over the next few weeks. Speeking of backgrounds, I'd like to thank BoomBuster for making some of the backgrounds for the animation! Definetly check out his amazing animations If you get the chance!

I waited until now to make a post because as I stated above, I wanted to post once I made enough progress. Also, I was hoping to make a post once the Dick Figures The Movie music video (for the movie's main theme) was released as I submitted 2 clips for the video and wanted to post the clips here. Maybe when they release the video I'll post the clips along with a couple minor updates regarding the animation.

The sonic/eggman wreckingball video I'm working on has been my more experimental heavy projects I've been working on. I've got a better understanding how different effects in flash work and experimenting with different programs like adobe photoshop for the backgrounds and I'm hoping to use adobe premier for some editing in case the video doesn't export correctly as one single .swf file. not sure if my computer can handle that much going on in flash. As long as work is under control, I'm confident that I can finish this video around early April. Overall, It's been a bit quirky, but efficient progress is being made.
