I have posted my most recent animation, Swinging in Size, up on Newgrounds!
Thanks to all the kind words for my animated video of Oney's gameplay commentary on Left 4 Dead 2. Here are the links in case anyone missed them.
Right now I've returned to College and running cross country for my last year so I'm hoping it all goes well!
Some good news is that I'm currently in an art class right now that's allowing me to make animations for each month, so I might post some, or all of them depending on how they turn out. They'll all be around 30-45seconds and I'll probably be experimenting a lot with the visuals. I'm doing that for the first animation which I will be mixing in with some photography and I'll be mixing in some stop motion with the photos.
I might have about 3 or 4 made in total by the very end of fall, so it'll definetly make up for the limited content I've been able to release.
As for the pokemon animation I mentioned, I've had to postpone that because I'm trying to find a large cunk of time to work on it and that might not be for a while. I'm still working on the script too just to make sure I don't make the video too long like I did Robotnik's Wrecking Ball. I'll definetly see if I can reach out to a few Voice Actors on newgrounds within the year as well.
Thanks again for the kind comments for Oney is Left 4 Friends!

Attended Connecticon yesterday with some friends and was able to get a ton of footage from 3 of the panels I went to!
The panels were Pinky and the Brain Q &A with Maurice LaMarche and Rob Paulsen ,Legend of Korra Q&A with Janet Varney, and Team Four Star Q&A Panel. All of them were super fun and I'm glad to have attended them! I've attached the links to the first parts of the videos.

Been a slow, but fun summer so far. I've been doing full days of work every weekday for graphic design and it's definetly tough to adjust to, but the experience has been nice and helpful for understanding how the working world, for the most part, functions in that area.
A few days ago, I had to re-post Robotnik's Wrecking Ball due to a copyright claim. It was just a regular content ID claim and I was hoping that the dispute I sent for the video would go through since the video confused one of the tracks for the Actual Wrecking Ball song. Had to adjust the audio for the laptop scene, but aside from that, everything else is the same.
Animation wise, I'm working on a fun video with one of my friends at home. My friend who does some drawing on the side wants to get into animation and I've been teaching him the basics. Doubt we'll be able to get it out by the end of July since I'll still be working, but I'm hoping to at least get it out before the end of August. Don't think I'll post it on newgrounds since it's going to be kind of simple, but I'll post it to a blog post once it's available.
As for the pokemon animation, I'm still working on that too, but I'll search for VA's once I've taken care of some priorities this summer. Got a lot more going on than I expected and I decided to switch to a different animation project just to ease the small burnout I got from Robotnik's Wrecking Ball.
I've also updated the channel art to my second channel, joe-sphoje extra vids, so check it out if ya want to see! I'll definetly updating that channel with videos sometime this summer.
That's about it for now. Hopefully the next time I post, I'll have something to show, whether it be art work or a video of some sort.
Glad to have finally gotten the Robotnik Wrecking Ball animation out of my system. [EDIT]-I've made the old version of Robotnik's Wrecking Ball available again on youtube. After some research, I found out since I already disputed that verison, it's best not to have the same video re-uploaded. I apologize for the confusion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c53D2rCB7Sc
It was definitely fun to work on this animation! Got to try out a new style of backgrounds try out new detail in the character designs and play with the coloring. I kind of feel like making a tumblr post describing some of the aspects about the animation like a few alternative introduction and ending scenes I tried out and some would be technical and animation hiccups. Not sure I'll do it right away, but I'm definitely considering making a Tumblr post with some of that info.
Right now I'll be slowing down with animation for a little bit as I'm going to be starting work very soon along with some more serious cross country preseason runs for my XC team. I'm thinking of doing some filler animations during that time, but I'm probably going to hold off as I'm not sure how exhausted I'll be.
I do, however, have an animation planned for the end of the summer or early fall at the earliest, which will be a Pokemon parody involving hatching an egg. I'm going to be trying out a few more new animation techniques, though I do plan to make the overall animation, as well as several future animations, much shorter than the length of my most recent animation.
I am also going to look for some voice actors for this animation too. Several of my animations have only utilized my voice and while I've had fun, I'm certainly going to utilize broaden out my animations voice acting wise.
Hopefully my next post here will have a modest production update on any animations I have planned.

I’ve come in to say that recently I’ve been incredibly busy with college work and that the Sonic/Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball Parody has been delayed. As soon as I got back from my vacation in March, I had to get right back into work. I’ve been dealing with several projects, setting stuff up for the summer and running on track and it has given me very little time to work on the animation. For now, I’m holding off the animation until this semester of college ends, which wont be too long. I will do some coloring in my spare time since I don’t have to go through the tedious process of plugging in my tablet and hoping it behaves well.
Right now, I mainly want to focus on setting up my summer schedule and what I will be working with like Cross Country practice runs, any extra classes, internships and work. This way, I can figure out what I can focus on for animation. I want to make at least 2 animations this summer, one that’s very simple, but another that allows me to use the best of my animation skills. I feel that I might just have time to focus on the bigger animation since I still need to finish the parody, though I’m still excited for the summer and to see what it has in store!
Also, I made a clip for the Dick Figures the Movie fan music video, and part of the clip was used! Definitely happy and very thankful that I got to participate and I also released the clip on my channel today. It was definitely fun experimenting with animating stick figures and I’m glad how it turned out, despite it being kind of a rush job.
For now, I shall wait until May to finalize the parody. See ya!
Now that I've gotten some significant progress done this week, I can finally say I'm 90% done with the animation portion of the Sonic/Eggman Wreckingball song parody. I had a difficult time during Febuary finding the time because I had some trouble with my computer and I could only animate on the weekends due to college work. I finally had some time off this week and got a significant amount done. I'm hoping to finish the rest of the animation this week and then color the frames, make the backgrounds, and edit some audio over the next few weeks. Speeking of backgrounds, I'd like to thank BoomBuster for making some of the backgrounds for the animation! Definetly check out his amazing animations If you get the chance!
I waited until now to make a post because as I stated above, I wanted to post once I made enough progress. Also, I was hoping to make a post once the Dick Figures The Movie music video (for the movie's main theme) was released as I submitted 2 clips for the video and wanted to post the clips here. Maybe when they release the video I'll post the clips along with a couple minor updates regarding the animation.
The sonic/eggman wreckingball video I'm working on has been my more experimental heavy projects I've been working on. I've got a better understanding how different effects in flash work and experimenting with different programs like adobe photoshop for the backgrounds and I'm hoping to use adobe premier for some editing in case the video doesn't export correctly as one single .swf file. not sure if my computer can handle that much going on in flash. As long as work is under control, I'm confident that I can finish this video around early April. Overall, It's been a bit quirky, but efficient progress is being made.
Going back to college soon and overally my winter vacation was gr8! Nice Christmas, A lot of animating done and got to go to magfest 12 which I must say was a ton of fun. Encountered a lot of guests there, got a lot of photos and videos, played some fun games I never got a chance to play and enjoyed every panel I got to go to! I also got a new channel for the footage I got. Hopefully I can get more the next time I go and with a more relyable camera. http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0zvVhrb2lEzYlDAAYcvxcA/videos. I might update that channel with other videos asside from convention footage.
Animation wise, While I wasn't able to accomplish as much as I hoped, I did finish the animation portion of the second scene and now I just have to do the coloring and backgrounds. I plan on doing the last 2 scenes (the first and third) in college during my spare time. I'm hoping they're easier to do, though I also want to experiment with them. It basically depends on how much spare time I'm able to give myself according to how hard my classes are. Last semester I have a couple tedious classes and they were extreamly difficult to progress through and left me mentally exausted. I was able to find time in November after they eased up. This semester, the classes are more in my range and have some professors I've had before so depending on the start of the year I might be able to accomplish a lot, though I'm just hoping I'm able to do something each day for the video (like coloring and backgrounds) if I can't do any animation.
I've had a busy vacation overall planning on college stuff for the summer and running for track, but I'm satisfied with what I got done so far. The paintings I also made last semester will also be put on newgrounds so expect to see them soon!
